55 cameo almost done, runs ,drives

    still have tailpipes and tailgate to finish...oh so close i can taste it...had it out in the driveway for a better look

    What's attached to the shifter?

    Looks like a line-loc button to me...

    Awesome truck with lots of interesting details. I especially appreciate the interior shot because I've been considering painting the lower dash of my '58 white. The chrome ashtray is a nice touch too.

  21. wow.... WOW.... and... WOW.... I love Cameos

    I woulda' had a hard time drilling holes in that sweet dash for the tach though.

    My only suggestion would be getting a chrome shift indicator housing from an early Impala/Olds to replace the black C10 style.

    Here's my B-in-law's Cameo built in the 80's.
    It has a '57 Napco conversion.

    the hood was cut 7/8" in the front and 0 at the back , she's got a 525 hp 427, th400 w/ 3500 stall, 57 olds rear w 3:08, dodge dakota front clip on the factory frame, no limit 4 bar in the rear with coilovers.
