Some of you may remember me posting up a few photo's of this project about a year ago. Since then I've been real busy and wasnt able to get to workin on it until last month. I was really trying to make it to Billetproof but didnt finish the car until the day after the show was over. I was thrashing away that whole week before from pretty much 10 in the mornin and anywhere from 4-7am. Slept a few hours and got right back to work. Im dissapointed I missed the show but I didnt want to rush it and end up doing half ass stuff so I just stayed focused. Now that its running and driving I plan on doing all the metal and bodywork this winter and fix up the interior here and there during the summer. But the main thing I want to do is enjoy driving it!

I installed 2600 lb air lift bags all the way around, stepped lower control arms, all the suspension parts were hand made by myself except for the upper bag brackets and the link bar bushing ends. 350/350 engine and trans, '73 camaro rear axle, york 210 engine driven pump (still got to install the air cleaner which I have) and I had to retrofit a 55-57 chevy 3 core aluminum radiator since there's none available for the '53 and '54. Dual piston master cylinder conversion. The exhaust exits out of the front fenderwells which is music to my ears! But I plan on making some baffles soon cause my neighbors love how quiet it is!

    Anyways on to the pics!

One suggestion... get yourself some of those dump flow controls to put on those dump valves, they will add some back pressure and keep dirt and debris from getting into the dump valve (it will happen if you don't) Adding the small amount of back pressure and using them to keep the dirt out will keep you from having issues where the dumps stick. I have been bagging vehicles for many years and this is based of experience. The work looks good btw.

looks awesome. glad you gave a 4 door some love. The one thing I'd change is making the dash panel a little smaller. you've got this huge engine turned panel with 3 gauges and a couple switches. you did a nice ass job on the panel though.

    Thanks guys

I stopped by napa on the way home that day and picked up some plugs for the dump valves. It dropped way to fast anyway, I just got a bigger 3/8" valve for the dump so I could adjust the drop rate on a longer scale, I went with 1/8" holes in the front and 1/4" in the back. i have 1/4" lift valves. I had the sticking problem on one of my customer O/T mini trucks and I was baffled, I switched out valves messed with wiring cussed alot etc. and still had the same problem. I felt pretty stupid but happy once I figured out what was wrong lol.

I still have to add an oil pressure gauge a voltmeter and one more switch to the panel. I got the stock oil pressure gauge plumbed but Im scared its gonna blow up on me soon lol.

nice welding. A good solid cruiser. I love the stovebolt sixes, but the V8 works too.

Car looks really good, your doing a great job
I would look into getting some residual valves on the break lines. They are cheap and keep the fluid from coming back when you got the master cylinder low like that.

When the cars laying the frame on the ground all the wheel cylinders are higher than the master cylinder. Factory the master was close to level or a few inches higher than the wheel cylinders at stock ride height.
