  1. I've been trying to unstick this valve for MONTHS. The valve won't shut on it's own. I have to tap it to this position. A friend came up with this idea. Silicone the valve shut and fill the port with something............
Whadda ya think? Acetone/ATF, PB, WD.................

I have had good experiences with Kroil. It's made by Kano Labs. Their web site is a little hokey but you can buy online. I've never seen it in a store.

It doesn't work instantly - on a really stuck part I usually put a few drops on (and whack the part a little) every day for a few days. Kroil has some very weird surface tension properties - if you put a drop on the bottom side of a horizontally mounted nut/bolt, it will quickly flow all the way around to the top.

its a wonder product. it does FAR more than just loosening rusty sticky things.

i have an extra bottle i can sell ya.

my second vote is for 50/50 atf/acetone.

i've used both to unstick impossibly stuck stuff.

Sea Foam , its the best , I had a 750-4 Honda engine that had set in my garage , and it just siezed , set there for ages , went to the local advance auto and asked what was the best forslicking up siezed engines , they handed me that stuff , read right on the can "best chance for siezed engines" damn good stuff - imho. , kinda pricey , but worth evry penny , around $10.00 for a can the size of a WD-40 Spray can

I have never tried acetone and ATF, sounds good though. I'll try anything once.
