After years of wanting one. I finally got the trades and sales lined up a found a shoebox worth buying. It is a 1950 two door sedan. 51 merc skirts. stock v8 flathead. interior is perfect. runs and drives like a camp. at the moment all i want to do to it is lower it. what should i do im thinking 2in in the back and 4in in the front to level it out and still have a good driving car.........
nice car, but those aren't 51 merc skirts, they're shoebox skirts, 51 merc skirts won't fit under the stock sidetrim unless cut down.
Wow, congrats on that... I'd do 4" all around but that's just me. I like the ass-end down a bit more than the front.
Welcome to the sickness that is the Ford Shoebox! Parts and info are aplenty, That is a pretty one, too pretty to cut up, just drop it and enjoy, and I agree that rear a bit lower looks great.
na this one isnt get cut up. she is to nice. driving her every day. damn reliable car. i need to track down a good front bumper and not get raped on the price....
