Found a 348 Chevy block and heads. The casting # on the block is 3755011 . Which comes back as a 58-60 348 "Wedge". But my old Hollanders only go back to 62. So I can't identify the serial #. It's stamped T0 60 9F . The date code is F1 60 and the heads casting # is 3758379. Any help? Thanks!
Well Thank's for the info. I also posted the serial # that's stamped in the block on the right hand just before the cylinder head. It is T0609F its not a casting #.
T= Tonawanda engine plant 06= June 09= 9th day F= suffix code- 58-61 pass car 250hp 4Bbl carb manual trans The date code will tell you what year it is exactly. Which in your case would be June 1st, 1960. Your block was cast on the 1st, and machined on the 9th for a 1960 car.
You're welcome. That would make a great powerplant for just about anything. But i am biased.....'W' motors are my favorite bent 8 Tony
