Dude it was tooo funny. Pat pulls out the cans of rustoluem and poors out some tan, so ok thats a good start. Then BOOM in with red and Steve and I are like stop stop stop!!! Guess what that made, bing bing bing Pats favorite color PINK. Now I'm thinking he needs to chuck it and start over, nope he's not giving up on this batch. Now he just starts adding black (which can only help) and more tan to try to bring it around, it wasn't looking good (and some may say it still doesn't)(not me Pat I like it). Then the dumbass looks around and finds brown which was kind of the direction he was looking to go in in the first place. And I must add he kept trying to add more red the whole time, but Steve nor myself would let him. It would have been great on video. Thank God we had beers, I think.

I have read this entire post, I looked at every thing that you posted, I saw a lot of things that I know you would do different, and you know you learned a lot, I think your car turned out real damn presentable I salute you for hanging in there and getting it done, you do have some excellent skills. I want to get involved in this type of a thing, the real weak spot I noticed was a good set of working drawings, a blue print type of a plan set, I know you went out and field measured a few cars to get your general dimensions, thats cool and in the end you pulled it all together but Im sure you wish you had a good clean set of drawings to perfect this girl and make her spot on.
For my part I would like to get involved in a 33 34 ford, however I think it would serve us all well if we could compile a library of body dimensions for all the cool tin, if we get it down to knuckles we can even figure in different top chop dimensions and body mods.
To start do any of you guys have sources for the body dimensions? We need them all, floors, doors, deck lids, the works and I know this archive has a bunch of stuff.
    Thanks, nice work.

We need to get Pat some good detailed drawings, he has a good set of field sketches but we need to get him something that the Ford engineers made. If he could see the inner steel that would be the secret to unlock the gennie, by only measuring the outer car you end up like building off a picture, very hard, you end up guessti-engineering a lot of critical contact points and substructure, any body got any sources for good detailed dimensions on an early ford post em here for Pat, anyone got any info on sheet steel jigs patterns or bucks or technique and construction lets put em up here for Pat, the more he knows the better he will get.
