Distributor Question: Stock 8BA with Stock Distributor Want To Change

    What is a good distributor to change over to? Have a 53 Ford running a Holley 390cfm with stock distributor.

    GMC Bubba on here does a converted SB chev distributor, machined and recurved, I think you send him your Drive gear, and he puts it all together and sends it with a bottle of hot sauce. I would do that. i like hot sauce.

    While your looking. Get inside your distributor, and tighten the advance springs. They are attached to an adjustable post on one end. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and turn the posts until it is in the tightest position. Will make your flatty run a heck of a lot better, till you decide what to put in it.
