That's awesome. not sure what I like more the history and untouched patina or the fact you can see the previous color scheme and striping on the rear pan. great story, great ride. enjoy the hell out of it!

I also saw this in some LARS show posts and was knocked out by it. To get this fab history and update on its current caretaker is so exciting. The period stuff, like using the spare tire cover for the hip fenders, the period drivetrain and its mods, the headlights, 40 dash, and on and on. Thanks for sharing this amazing historic gem with us. In awe ~Sololobo~

RE History: where in mich was it located. who striped it? i know some older guyshere in the detroit area, rodders in thier late 70's who may have known of the car. Also, a striper name Gator who did a lot of work round these parts back then. let me know if i can help.

I also would like to know the back story on how the car was located and unearthed. These type threads are one of the reasons I'm on the HAMB almost every day!! Glad to see it went to someone that can appreciate it for what it IS and not wanting to change it.

Sweet, It is something else to see a car from that era that has been pretty well unchanged since it was first built. I'm glad to see that it got it's self a caretaker who appreciates it for what it is too.
