okay race fans lets vote for mr. parks to be put in the nascar hall of fame where he rightfully belongs. the first nascar champion car owner should be recognized for what he did in the sport. what do you think?
There's a great book out called Driving with the Devil by Neal Thompson that features Raymond Parks. A convicted bootlegger and all around shady character isn't what the NASCAR of today probably wants to be reminded of. But what a rascal to read about.
Raymond Parks actually brought credibility to Nascar because he carried the satchel with the money. The racers knew they were going to be paid because Raymond Parks backed up Bill France and backed many of the early drivers. R.I. P. Mr. Parks
