OT I have Cancer Surgery tomorrow

Hello to all the great forum members.

I will be having Surgery tomorrow to remove my right eye. When I came back from Cuba in April I noticed that i had blurring in my right eye. After tests and seeing Specialists they confirmed I had melonoma (cancer) in my right eye. The tumour is contained to the right eye and the best positive surgery will be to remove the eye.

Thank the Lord that it has not spread and I will be having my right eye removed Thursday June 16th.

I'm just finishing my 7th and last week of radiation for throat cancer after surgery, so I kind of know where you're coming from. If you ever want to talk or vent or whatever, give me a PM and I'll give you my phone number. Yeah, losing an eye is bad, but you'll over come that and go on to live a long and happy life.

Good Luck! My brother had cancer when he was 22. They took out a tumor as big as a fist and he went through chemotherapy. He will turn 49 in October and has got along fine since. Medical science can do some wonderful work.

I know what your going through.. We're prayin' for ya on this end also... I was under the knife for 8 hours straight to remove a pituatary gland tumor that was in between my eyes just below my brain.. I wouldn't wish that to happen to anyone of what I went through for a month straight in the hospital.. Good luck and hope to see ya back on here soon!!!
