I clicked on the link, but it doesn't give any details if it runs or not.
Is there any way to find more info?

Studebaker parts are easy to find and cheaper than bowtie stuff.

AS far as i can tell, that's not a 56, but a rare 54 3r series- no hood ornament, small back window but 1 piece windshield. Quite rare!

The chrome grille and bumper are not OEM, but I'd bid on it in a heartbeat if it were not a thousand miles away.

The '54 and '55 were the best looking of all the C-cab Studes.

Putting a SBC in a Stude because it is cheap and reliable is like marrying an ugly woman because she is less likely to run around on you. Stude V8, oh yes. Packard V8, even better.

    NOT an R-series - it's a '55 E-Series Transtar.

I would really like to check this out... I have to work all day tomorrow.

Can't afford it, no space for it, no time for it... you know the usual tri-fecta of a working car guy.

well, some one at the yard fell in love and got a nice truck, they get all kinds of stuff a few months ago i almost brought home a 62 benz, they had a 48ford pickup once and i can see a 57 chevy pickup in next months line up.

That is actually a '54, assuming all the parts came from the same truck. Note the small back window, and small Studebaker tag on front of hood. Also, doesn't have the turn signal cutouts on the lower part of the grill.

In '55, the back window was larger, Studebaker tag on hood was larger, and had different headlight bezels (missing in this photo).

'56 got rid of the peaked hood in favor of a bullnose hood, and added turn signals in the ends of that bulge in the lower part of the grill.

Looks like a good start for somebody, though.

Well that's really cool. I will have to start watching the site for something to pick up. I REALLY wanted that one, but hey we all know how those things turn out!
