Drove this cross country twice in the '90s. 1970 429 Ford & toploader 4 speed, 9 inch with 3.73s got about 10 mpg, but it was a blast both times. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
P.S. If anyone knows how to adjust pix to make then equal size please let me know.

    Thanks!
Front was done with a Sid's 3" dropped axle, Speedway Tierod drops, and 3 leafs removed. back was done with a dearched spring pack.

Here is a little better pic of the stance on the truck. Was before we got the whitewalls cleaned up and the caps on.

  16. I'm not sure if this counts as cool but it is my next bad weather vehicle and parts chaser.

I have owned some pretty cool trucks over the years I think, but I'm real bad to not take pictures of anything I own. There are just too many nicer trucks than the ones I own to take pictures of.

Oh the late 283 is a good fit in one of these and a way better choice than the original engine.

here's some pics of my friends truck...I love it...1940 dodge, custom made 32 ford inspired frame, jag rear, 1953 331 hemi, chopped, channled, hidden air ride suspension completely custom made and designed, you name it....and tons of other custom work...hopefully will be completed this winter in glossy paint and lots of chrome and copper pieces and miles of polished rivets inside...kinda in a class of its own i think, part dragster, part salt racer with that chop and angle on the a pillars....

hope you like it as much as I do....great work and craftsmanship, these pics dont do the truck justice one bit.

My 66 - I've had it over 15 years now. [IMG]

Full frame up, boxed frame, everythings chrome under it, hydros, one off wheels, 250 straight 6, murals in door jams and scrap plates. I stopped showing it years ago. Now it just gets more road time. AND its never been towed, always driven to shows.
