Just got another set of Black Gennies from Wheelsmith yesterday and the quality is outstanding. Once again the black looks hand rubbed.
Got Black Steelies on my Merc, and just last week had the '40 Steelies on my "A" coupe done in gloss black. No pics of that yet. Sorry
Have always loved the look of the black steelies, these are mine painted a low gloss black, I want to redo them to a high gloss black this winter.....
ET, that Valiant kicks azz. I had a '62 2dr ht in high scool and ran 13" on front with 14" on the rear came off a Dart GT,black of course.
I knew my truck was going to be flat gray in the end and I really liked the gray and silver cars in magazines with black wheels and blackwalls.
Mine, because that's how The Fidgeter had 'em painted when I bought the truck. I see no reason to change.
Both trucks have black steelies. Once you go black................. Later,Bill and I know they're off topic but mommas 65 VW has them too......
I had this set of 17X8s custom-built to my specs and painted black enamel with the wide red pinstripe over 10 years ago. I won't say who made them because it took forever to get them done. Wanted to mimic the look of 14" redline tires and have the handing of 17" tires.
I was just thinking of switching from red to black, I had Russian do a little photochop for me last week...... and I like it!!! Spider caps came in Friday, I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow Thanks for the inspiring thread!

Went with the Cherry to go with the red accents around the truck...but if anyone care to Photochop the wheels black...I'd like to check it out?
