Yeah, I do want to drive it--but it's not getting chopped. That's the whole reason I bought a coupe is 'cause that short roof doesn't really need a chop. IMHO

Black or chrome. Nothing else! The late model Chevy truck in the background is (was) mine too :D

Here's mine. Chevy wheels, machined centers to fit push through bullets, center hub cap tabs removed and powdercoated black with Firestone whitelwalls.

Don't ever say that. Haha. Black wheels have always been classy. Red wheels are trendy and just plain gross.

Black powder coated 53 Chevy wheels on my 51. I like the way they look so much, I have been thinking about running the factory dog dish center caps instead of full caps or maybe no caps at all.

My son did mine with one can of $0.97 rattle can. Need to redo them a little better when we have time.

  14. Both of my cars have had black wheels. I don't know, just gives the car a more sinister look to me.

Everything on my roadster is black or white including the black & white interior so black wheels seemed like the only way to go.

Nice '64 El Camino!!! Any more photos? I learned to drive on my Dad's '64 El Camino, he still has his and won't sell it to me. I hope to make a die cast of one in the next couple of years at work.

    Thanks,
    Sean

P.S. Would you happen to have any extra rear rocker chrome, the chrome pieces behind the rear wheels?

I thought of it as a hot rod. Slightly modified flathead, "three on the tree", dual exhaust with Smithy's, big and littles. Never really thought of it as a custom.

I really like this one. Anybody have an idea what size rims & tires these might be?
