ford did make some with a moving center grill light that moved when you steered the car. i think they made very few? and then added the center plug on the grill. they did have an option for a headlight or i think it was a kit for the head light. but yea that was fords idea originally.

Here it is. Finally! Been wanting one of these for twenty years. Had to call it my wife's car to get it, but here it is anyway.

calicruiser- what you did to the outside of your ride is a prime example of how you can make a diamond in the rough into a jewel without extreme modifications and expense-kool!!

That '49 has a great look...looks like one old repaint rubbing through to the original paint?

    Very cool, indeed...

Well count me in, bought this last month from a HAMB'r here in NH. It was built a decade ago from a 1950 Crestline. Flathead with OD. This was the car we all wanted when I was in high school in the late 50's in upstate NY. So as I approach my seventh decade, guess I wanted to relive those days.

Here's some work I did to my box over the weekend, I finally pie-sectioned my hood, I took it up a 1 1/2" up at the center and 2 1/2" at both ends so it would give me a nice downward angle.

I also sectioned the rear deck lid, I brought that up 4 inches with a slight 1/2" angle and rounded corners, I will be getting that squared away this weekend and finish welding my front.
