LimeWorks & Acme Speedshop John team up to upgrade my building

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Limey Steve, Jun 9, 2010.

  1. Wow! What an improvement. Now I'll have something cool to look at when I'm across the street at Tom's place visiting my roadster. Make sure when the "dusting" is going on that my trophies get dusted!! :D

Wow, what an improvement from before to after! And green tile to come! Great to see a business owner beautifying his storefront. Improves the whole street, and maybe pushes some of the other places to shine theirs up too. Congratulations to both of you. Well done. Bring this post back up and add pictures when the tile's done!

I must have drove past the place a couple hundred times before I knew where it was, now I cant miss it, looks great. Now if you can get the rest of the shops in uptown Shittier to clean up it might be a nice place again?

The 87 quake took it's toll on Uptown , I'm hoping it will come back , the liquor store up the street is cool too as is the old Railway Depot just up the street too over 100 yrs old & restored , I believe the city are trying to get it back.I took advantage of a grant to upgrade as we are in the History district.
Glad you all like it John is getting the credit he deserves.

Looks great. I drove by three times trying find the Brick-n-Mortar when I was out there in April on holiday. With your new sweet storefront, I would have found it easily. You made a killer change. What city wouldn't want business enthusiasm like that! By the way, get some Limey Steve's coffee while over at Steve's shop too. You'll love it!

All our neighbors are trying to get the city to trim or remove the giant tree but I can't see it happening . The one is a monster & the roots are lifting the sidewalk now !!They make a hell of a mess too. Thanks for the comments we all appreciate them , it's good to make a statement & now our building does that.

Looks great and I will see it in person on Thursday.

  28. Steve, saw the sign Saturday when I picked up the roadster at Hoyt's. Can't see it until your right in front of the place. You need to get rid of the ficus tree, but Tom says no way will the Whittier tree huggers let you cut it down!! :(

Hi Dean I know that, tree is over 60 yrs old !!! they are supposed to live 50 yrs so maybe it will fall one day soon, I just hope it misses my building & cars , the thing is a giant (as well as a giant pain in the butt , it makes a big mess too ).
