To show what has been done to the van,

here are a few pics of one of mine, the 52 sedan. gotta love action shots!

the other (no pic) is a 50 chev pickup that will be sitting on a newer chevy dually frame with flatbed to haul around the deuce frames i am going to start building. hopefully it will sport a nice clean chop (it will be my first chop so we'll see how it goes!!)

I fell in love with this '58 Chevy 3100 when I helped my brother Chris build it, we got it on the road in the early summer of '06 (the picture above is from maiden voyage) My Bro didn't get to enjoy it as often as he would have liked due to his failing health. Recently he passed away and our family chose me to be the caretaker of my Bro's pride and joy. Good thing too, hours spent tinkering on it have helped me cope with the loss of my kid brother. The baby moons were replaced with bullet caps a couple of years ago which instantly made it look much cooler. I plan to get the flames pinstriped like he wanted and make some changes to the interior to give it more of an early custom vibe.

I also plan to drive the wheels off it...

    '58 Chevrolet Stepside Specs

Nova front subframe with power steering and disc brakes, a mild 454, Turbo 400, Chrysler 8 3/4" "Sure Grip", front coil lowering springs, 2" drop spindles, TCI lowered rear suspension kit, Diamondback "Wide White" radials, owner designed flamed paint scheme, custom beige interior and oak/stainless bed floor.

My not so H.A.M.B. worthy ride...

'69 Plymouth GTX that I built mostly in a 2 car garage.
440/727 and 4.10's ~ Car Craft did a feature on it in the May '09 issue.

  8. MMM RED (Jay),

Thanks, no pics of the interior. It's original and has a little wear in it. I'll try and take a few this weekend and post them. BTW, car has 36K original miles.

    NZ Rodder (Scotty),

Thanks for the compliments. If the car wasn't so nice, I'd lower it some in the front, hop up the engine with a split manifold, dual carbs, dual exhaust or replace the I-6 with a SBC and call it good. However, I'm looking to sell my other car to get my hot rod.

FNG here. Relevant projects are the three (!) International Harvester L-110's (one is a 1950, other two are 1952's). Going to be getting to work on one of the '52's here in a few weeks!

    Other rides are just cause:
'81 Harley just finished chopping it after the motor grenaded in Mexico ('76 914 in the background, for enjoying the twisties)
'78 Dodge Power Wagon "Macho Edition" my mother gave me on my 30th as a sort of family heirloom, have to decide what to do with it
'57 Ural with sidecar for toting around girlfriends, pets, groceries

Too much to do in this life!
