model a crankshaft

this might be a stupid question, but is there anyway you can take a stock model a crankshaft and machine counter balance it like the 32 crank? or do i have to buy an after market counter balance crankshaft?

You can get counter weights for the crank.

 

I'm not really sure on your question, but Dan Price has counterweights that can be added to the Model A crank.

them counter weights are expensive, better off buying a new crankshaft.

 

Don't know what part of NC you are in but there is a guy just west of Asheville that makes & installs counterweights either exchange or on your crank for about ½ the price of the Burlington crank. Go to Dreamwerks Model A/B Engines .
