The bed is wrecked and the frame is twisted a bit. Do I take the cab and fenders off and send the rest to the wrecker?

I wrecked a bed once.

 

It is a 53 Fargo truck. Here is a couple of pics though you can't really see how twisted the frame is.

Frames can be repaired and straightened. Do you have a clear idea what you want when its done? It would be easier to evaluate from there if this one can be made to serve.

Thanks! I was needing space so I stood the bed up and realized with a few pieces of angle iron and some plywood I would have one hellbent for stout set of shelves.

I would like to make another set like only build all new parts and make an entertainment center from it. Use a repop tailgate to cover the bottom storage area.

Strip the frame and find out how bad it really is. Truck frames are usually easy to repair or make from scratch.

 

What about the tailgate, I've been wanting to see a Fargo tailgate, would love to have one.
