I got this running '51 flatty basically for nothing. It has 40,000 miles on it.

  4. Welcome from Montana, thats a pretty clean for a farm truck it looks like someone took decent care of it or you've done a ton of work.

When I bought the pu I got a parts pu with it as well. It is pretty rusted out and hasn't been of much use. Then my godfather gave me this '47 for graduation. I plan on using the drivers door off of it since it is in very good condition

  6. If that 47 is in good enough shape don't break it into pieces, build it too!

Give me some notice, come to Billings and I think we can find you a nice 41 - 47 drivers door at one of the local yards

  7. That flattie will be right at home in that. Great start, keep us updated on your progress.

Great looking little truck. I think 40-41 pickups are some of the best looking early pickups. Good luck on the build.

I've got a 41 and trying to decide if I'm going to keep the 41 hood trim or go back to 40. If the 41 center trim wasn't quite so wide it might look better. However there's way more 40s than 41s out there so it'd be different.

  16. If you want to put hanging pedals in it, a pedal assembly out of a '52-'56 Ford car fits '40-'47 Ford cabs like it was custom made for it. I had a pedal assembly from a '55 that we put in a friend's '46.

  17. I know where thier is two fortys..and 41...if interested...41 missing drivers door as well..lol...like 41...wider trim on nose..sure you can get cheap..if interested...

Call me crazy but I'd be tempted to throw a few clear coats on it, Chop it, lower it... some new tires, drive it... and call it a day. That patina looks pretty good for a great...
