    Thanks dude

I'm going to get the engine back in there ( one last time to validate fitment since it's all welded up )

Then hopefully I should have an axle hung and assembled by the end of tomorrow. We will see

so here is a 10" slick mocked up...

A little too close for me without doing the radius thing.. I'm about 1/4" off the leaf and hitting the quarter. I could probably get away with doing the basebase bat trick, but its still too close off the spring.

I think Im going with a 8.5-9" tire on a STD 8" rim.

I threw the engine in so I could weight the springs down to check my shackle angles. Spent two hours getting them right. While I had the engine in there I couldn't resist tossing the blower and headers on there for a photo op.

Front susp is 100% welded up.

    Saturday is front end assy

That is a great shot of the rails / engine / blower. Very impressive. Looking forward to more!

Love gassers, been running them since the 60's.

Like your choice of wheel and tire combo. You should' have any problem with 8:20's, but will have to jack the car up in a way that drops the rear suspention to change a rear tire. Also different tire brands run larger or smaller. In the 60,s we just got a 8'' wide slick. Here is a picture of our car in the staging lanes at Backersfeild 09.

Kids are cool to I have 4 boys.

Chopperman, Your Gasser build is looking GREAT ! It is neat that you have three generations working on the build. Your son looks to be getting right in on the build !

Can't wait to see this one lifting the front wheels at the local strip.
