For those who don't know, I lucked-out and won the last tech week contest sponsored by Baileigh. I chose their powered bead roller as the prize. Last week this 200 lb. box showed up just days after Shane and I had talked on the phone:

    ...and inside:

After about 5 minutes of FRANTIC assembly:

    The control panel:

    36" throat:

    The motor:

    A handy dye rack:

The pedal control. This is WAY COOL. I thought it would be an on / off switch. It's actually a potentiometer! It works like an accelerator pedal. You can make it CREEP along or make it haul! REAL NEET!!!:

Here is a shot of the dyes it came with (Spoiler roll):

    Here's the adjustment crank:

Ok, I'm no metal shapping expert. That said, here goes my feeble attempt on this unsuspecting piece of sheet metal:

    First pass:

    Another pass:

After messing around, I was able to make a 'patch' for this bead on a roadster door:

This tool is very well-built and high quality! It works GOOD!!! I have BIG PLANS for it ...you'll see. It's going to be life changing! Thanks Baileigh and thanks to the HAMB!!!

    What do you guys think???

I think that thing is as cool as it gets, and well deserved for an excellent tech entry!

I also think that I'm so jealous I could spit lightning bolts.......

    $995

Comes complete with stand, roll holder, 1 set of rolls, variable speed foot pedal. It is a smokin deal if you look at the competition.

    WOW! Suddenly it's Christmas morning!

Now ,be sure to display the "Baileigh" banner proudly on your shop wall!
I jus hope that for everyone of these Shane has given away that he's sold ten of 'um!

Who needs a Pullmax or Yoder with one of these on the shop floor?

    Enjoy,

Cool and it looks like you are getting the hang of using it pretty quick too. I think we are going to see some nifty stuff come off that machine in the future.

That's the machine I would have chosen also. I've got a power bead roller that I built many years ago and it works great. The limiting factor is the throat depth..........mine is only 18" which makes reaching the center of door panels and such impossible.
I'm sure it will be no time before your doing panels just like Kiwi Kev.
