Welcome from New Zealand. Cool that you have three of my favourite cars, especially the sedan delivery and the Studie (I missed out on two Studebaker coupes of that vintage in my misspent youth in SoCal; one had had a Packard V8 dropped into it back in the 1950s!)

Sounds pretty cool. Believe it or not, I'd probably build a 3/8x3/8 flattie if I had a '40 Ford, which must seem strange coming from a guy who runs a Nailhead. About 40 years ago I had a friend at college who'd built an Olds powered '40 that had a reputation in the early '60s (in Beautiful Downtown Burbank) as being a seriously quick car. Sadly, he sold it when he was drafted, and by the time I met the guy he was playing with 356 Porsches.
