That's Eddie Sanzo's pick up. The middle photo is from Indy. The 2 from Cecil Co. with no lettering must be from right after the rebuild after the huge wheel stand at NY National Speedway that broke the chassis.

All 3 photos are Eddie Sanzo' car middle one before chop. Chopped pictures are after it came out of Pacers shop and before lettering. John, Eddie did a wheelstand at Westhampton and bent the chassis during a match race with the black SWC willys. After the National Speedway wheelstand the car was junked and he built the first 33 coupe.

I ran across this the other day. It's from Hot Rod Magazine, Sept. 1978 (I was like 4 Months old...) Jungles last car, Carl Ruth driving.

was the Panella and Miner car a center steer car or is that just an optical illusion?

Center steer was not legal in AA/GS. Those cars are so small it's hard to make them left side steer. I think he's just sitting low in the car which makes it look odd.

Found a couple of roadsters from the mid 60's. Ones running an early Hemi and the other has an injected small block chevy.

Great shots ltownrodder. Dave Rudy's car seemed to have been photographed quite a lot, probably because it was so beautiful.

    Thanks Townrodder.

I remember these cars quite well. Jim Davis was editor S/S Drag Illustrared at one time.

The Hydro Phobia was Pontiac powered which is one of my favorites as I'm a PONTIAC Freek.
