Hey Guys, Sorry I have not been on the HAMB in a while! I've been very busy working and I dont have internet at the place im living right now. Anyways i found this napco when i was a junior in high school and I have wanted it ever since. The old man that had it did not want to let it go (my buddies grandpa). Long story short he ended up passing away and his wife did not want to let it go until a few weeks ago. And I picked it up! The frame was extended by him about 2 feet. he also took out both front passenger side axle shafts and the hubs which i need! Other that that Im very happy with it! Could not complain about the price either! I got it to run, and i've started to shorten the frame back to stock. All i need to do is weld it back together.
I'm pretty sure that would be a dealer installed option in a truck that early. Any idea why the front axle shafts were removed? What size truck is it? 3600 or 3800? I don't want one, but its cool all the same!
its a 3600. I dont know why he took them out. Maybe he busted them? In either case I wish they were there. Not an easy item to find! That or the hubs!
I like it a lot. Im stoked to finally have a project thats somewhere in my budget to build! But still bad ass!
Man I've been wanting one of those for a long time. I wish it was mine. If you ever need to sell it you know where I live
I've always loved the NAPCO conversions. I've never seen one in an advance design. Very cool. Top speed is likey about 45mph, but you'll look cool a hell doing it.
you can still buy locking hubs from mile marker in pompano beach fl if they want sell them to direct pm me i am a dealer
Yeah thats the plan. Im going to try to shorten the napco frame to fit my 32 3 window body so I can take it to the mud bogs this fall! Its gonna be bitchin!
Cool find.. Napcopowrpak.com is a good site ... Josh Hooker runs it.. and is pretty much an "expert" on the Advance NAPCO's.. also a member of the Hamb....
thats great! gotta love that "ghetto grille" made from a shopping cart! NAPCO is North American Parts Co. about a $1000 parts conversion done at the dealer with bolt on parts. looked at a 56' today.
I am going for something like that, Chris. Except i was going to use one of those old power wagon grilles.
