Luxury blue Metallic Harley Davidson by PPG... http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?action=printpage;topic=11837.0 amazing eye catching color.
The TCP global site made my head hurt and I still couldn't find my paint code. The inside of my car is also blue and I think Sheridan blue will look better than the original Baffin blue(baby blue), which I still haven't ruled out.
Check the factory paint codes for that year and up and down a couple of years then maybe pearl or metal flake it not heavy sometimes too new of a color dates the era of paint remember pastels? the original colors are timeless ! painted my 46 merc a washington blue and i still love it 10 years later
There's a blue roadster in the recent Street Rodder that has incredible paint. Navy Blue with a little metallic. I'll have to dig around for the pics I took of it at a recent pancake breakfast/car show. It stopped me in my tracks.
just sold my 62 galixie to fund another project and it was red, factory color, i always wanted to paint it with a bright siver base then like electric blue i think that would be bitchen with a white interior with blue piping just my 2 cents!
My Biscayne is GM Black Sapphire over black primer. It's got good flop - lots of folks think the car is black, but then see it in the sun when the color really pops. I love it. But I'm biased, too...
http://www.paintscratch.com/cgi-bin/makepaint2.cgi Another link to check out colors. I'm going to try the Dark Blue for a 1988 Blazer.
As long as we're offering up non OEM and OT colors, go look at some MINI Coopers, they've got several non metallic as well as some kick ass metallic blues. Look at Electric Blue, Indy Blue and Lazer Blue for example.....
Like the grandma on this link says, Crayola midnight blue was one of my favorite crayon colors in elementary school. Also, "Year Introduced: 1958". http://www.crayola.com/colorcensus/history/history.cfm?id=midnight blue&rank=4 The stock/original baby blue would be good, too. That might be easier to keep clean, if that's your thing.
The new Chevrolet Colorado's and GMC Canyon's have a real nice dark blue available called deep navy. The color does not have alot of metalic or pearls in it, just a nice deep true color.
My favorite blue it's called Carolina Blue with six grams of blue pearl in every eight ounces of paint. Rags
