Just found out that the fairgrounds will be charging $5 for spectator parking. Half the price of CalExpo.

I think this is gonna be fun!I had not even thought about the fact we wont be on blacktop, that in itself makes for a comfortable venue especially at night.Auburn is a nice area too plus a little more of a drive makes it even better!BYE BYE gold diggin Cal Expo!

I should also mention that half of the parking fee also goes to charity.

Really like their attitude here, hopefully after 7 years we have found a home.

I know this is one of the events we talk about ALL year long....you can count us in. Never been to the Auburn FG but I like the words "shade" and "cheaper". Let us know when the trophy sign up is available.

  15. Are there hotels in the close area?

PBR? Either have some quality beer or let people bring their own in.

The hotels are a "reasonable" distance away, but unlike years past, you'll have to drive a few miles to them this year. After show festivities are being planned though.

Trying to get PBR or some other distributer to come and offer low buck beer, unlike the $7 beer CalExpo offered. You will be allowed to BYOB this year.

Just added the fliers to the first post. We will have some special artwork for the Midnight Mass shirts this year.

That will be a sweet location for the show. Have to Roman Angels had anything to say about it? Bringing our low-brow rides up the hill to their back yard? Ha ha, those old timers are the reason I got into rods. They should come check it out, see what the 'kids' are up to now-a-days.

We put on I think 10 rod runs at that fairgrounds and you can have the concessions we had food and the beer booths talk to then need license and insurance. You can get a one day license for both great pick for the run:D

    cool :)

If my memory serves, this is Goodguys weekend in Pleasanton as well? We're planning on getting to Pleasanton for that show, so will see if we can work in a drive to Auburn... not being a local, I don't know if this is crazy talk yet... but I'm about to find out... :)
