I hate the stock tail lights of a 57 Buick so I cut the reverse lights off a set of 56 Packard light and used them. I think it looks much better. I still need to do the other side but the hard one is done:D

I didn't take any pix when I was working but I will on the other side.

Follows the bumper shape nicely. These get put in a lot of cars, and they don't look right in everything, but they do work on the Buick. Looks like some nice sheetmetal fab work too.

Did you just buy lenses and make the rest?

I think that is the greatest thing anyone can say about a custom car.

You did a very nice job on the tail light. Will be watching to see what you post for the other side. The 56 Packard tail lights are one of my favorite.

No I started with a nice set of bezels and cut the revese light off. They were to tall with them and I think it looks better the way I cut them.

I made a round bar frame that I welded in then I used some AK16G to skin the outside. I will take some pix when i do the other side.

Thanks for the kind words guy

  16. Looks like it grew there from the factory. Someone should re-pop those Packard lights so we all can do the same thing.

Looks great. Those Packard 'lights look really good on Buicks. Someday I'll do the swap on my '57...

So are you just going to run without any reverse lights at all?

I hate to jump on the wagon but those taillights look good on anything. That's why I included them in my (way off topic) Lamborghini '50s sled. If I ever could afford one I'd have to fuck it up somehow.
