Finally got the 'A' home and tucked into her reserved spot in the garage. It was indeed the catalytic converter, so I know we can trust smittystoys next time haha. I can't express my gratitude for the help I received from this forum. A bunch of great people that were there when I needed it. I only hope too return the favor someday. Thats an open invitation for any hamber, whether its just getting a glass of water and using a clean bathroom, or hauling you off the side of the road if I can manage it. And last but certainly not least I would like to recognize Doc "blasted" for his and his wife's hospitality. If it wasn't for them, I probably would have had a nervouos break down on the side of the road. I also learned more about rodding in the 2 hours spent in his shop than I have in days/months on the internet. ****And took my first ride in a real hotrod.**** You really have to pass by his place if you get a chance, it is truely inspirational. Everyone likes a happy ending. Usually when stuff like that happens to me, I have to hire a tow truck, it's never under warranty, and I don't make many new freiends. Glad it all worked out.
