Just got together today with fellow Hamber "Chris Dozier" and did some cool trading. He had a Dodge Flatty 6 engine and stuff which I wanted and I had a bunch of VW stuff he wanted. Did some cool trading off of I-75 outside of Sarasota, FL. Thanks HAMB Classifieds. This is what HAMB is all about.
I just hang around here waiting for the return of GERM & MUD, if you don't understand you never will.
I love rust! And one day I want to taste some cookies from Denise. Oh yeah, and the H.A.M.B. coupe. And the classifieds. And The Jalopy Journal entries from Ryan, Jive Bomber & the gang. And......
If I was honest with myself I'd have to say I'm here to get the rock-a-silly attitude knocked out of me and learn how to act my age and not piss Ryan off but thanks for the vote for T(orch)Man(n) dsiddons. I'm proud you have found so much understanding in my well of limitless knowledge. Always have faith in the truth, even if you made it up. Remember...Everyone likes you. Even the people who hate you like you too, they just don't want to
Last place I check in the night and first one in the morning.I find it hard sometimes being on here cause everything I see I want to build!!I have five project cause of this place.Dam you!!!lol
Seriously if it wasn't for the HAMB my model A would be sitting in the garage unfinished for at least another year instead of hitting the road in a few days!
The knowledge and talent shown here is awesome...along with some funny dumdass shit u can shake ur head at too!
I got sucked into the HAMB like that black-hole effect you see in Sci-Fi movies. The CLOSER you get, the less you can resist the PULL! The HAMB is a really eclectic bunch of guys AND gals who enjoy sharing the common ground of the car scene and are dedicated to keeping the traditional aspect of that alive -- and not too watered down trying to be all things to ALL car people ('s-why there are lots of other car forums, ya know?). The HAMB stays pretty focused on info that directly or indirectly benefits people's knowledge and know-how RE classic-era rods and customs. And people on the HAMB are GENEROUS in a time when everybody else at least SEEMS to be looking to make a dollar for anything they do. I have had folks GIVE me tools and parts -- not to mention a MEGA-ton of info! -- and, in turn, I have offered what I could. And the HAMB is sometimes close to being a family, bolstering up folks who've lost loved ones. Somebody can kick you in the ass one minute for being too SBC; next minute, you're consoling them over a loss or issue. This forum is sort of like a THROWBACK in that respect. You check in to the HAMB, and it's like stepping into a time machine and going back to a small-town spirit and time when people were giving, generous, well informed, sharing, caring. (And, if you're having a shitty day, the HAMB is hellacious feel-good therapy!!! Beats the dickens out of a bar fight, any day! LOL) Funny. When I'm on the HAMB, I really WONDER why ALL of society can't be like this any more! The HAMB is real-world when we're surrounded by so much plastic. It's just a COOL island resort in the current stream of bad, selfish human behavior. eh?
I'm here to meet girls with tattoos? ... Seriously, the HAMB is a great place, and it's a great place because of the people who surf/inhabit it.
