Our thoughts and prayers are with you man. Not only are you a part of the HAMB family but I see you are in my area. Just remember every time you look up into the sky and see those big white clouds, it's your dad doing a burn-out. God bless.

That's rough man, sorry to hear it.
As mentioned above I dread the day as I'm sure we all do.

Why not share a story of some sort of nonsense the two of you had gotten into together?

Never good to lose a friend, especially a hero and a father. Focus on the good times... I sure wish my father and I were friends.

  18. my condolences. losing a parent is a great loss. while the pain gets better over time, the loss remains. my old man died 24 years ago and I have his WWII pic over my desk. Everything I do is dedicated to him. It's ok for us guys to grieve over a loss like this. Try and remember all the good things he brought into your life and keep his memory alive.

So sorry for your loss. My Pop died in 72, he was 44 I was 15. I'm 53 and it still hurts. Remember the good times, forget the bad and honor his memory in everything that you do.

    Take care.

it will be quiet, you'll reach for a wrench or start a 'chore', and you'll 'flashback' to an occasion you shared with your dad, the comfort you'll experience will be overwhelming!
knowing he left behind family and friends that loved and cherish his memory is a blessing.
if nothing else, make sure you are prepared for your departure, sometimes we leave in a
hurry, sometimes it is a gradual, painful process. my prayers are for you and yours.

I am so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you family.

I lost my father over 3 years ago now and I have found comfort in trying to talk about him as much as I can. Normally it ends in my smiling or laughing. Keep trying to make him proud!
