I hope the sanctioning bodies / promoters can help put the damaged stuff back in working order asap. As for events like the HRR, be sure to pack your mosquito repellant! Gary

Don't even go there. I'm sure there are safety precautions that are taken when water starts to rise in any business with chemicals.

Heartfelt sympathies to the people suffering through this.

FWIW LVD has been through this and they were running a few weeks later.:)

Hopefully there is not to much Scour and they are back up running soon.
    Best to all

That sucks big time. I knew they were talking about places flooding up there, but that's a lot of water. I feel sorry for the folks up there.

In flood water ? That's brave , hard to say what might be in that water .Hell , Advanced Plating was flooded for cripes sakes:eek:. You two better watch for funky infections !
This situation is very depressing . My first selfish thought was " what about the HRR" but those pics of Advanced and other businesses and homes really put it in perspective. It's mind boggling to think how many people could lose jobs or homes..or both .

not just Bowling green, even the capital is under! And Tenn. too
Kids were out of school and we are still under a flood warning all over.

  22. Ahhhh, breaks my heart to see these pics! HHR is like Mecca for us Hot Rodder and nostalgic race fans! Maybe the wooden grandstands with movie-like seats will remain intact and that clean up takes place fast enough for us all to smell buring, nitro, alcohol, and rubber this June. More importantly, let's hope that the people in the communities rebound fully.

Especially since homeowners doesn't cover flooding . You have to buy " flood insurance" and many people do not . I don't know if a typical business insurance plan covers it or not , I sure hope so .
I wish them all the best .

Heard on the news last night that Beech Bend is drying fast and that Dallas (track owner) says the damage is not nearly bad as expected. All May events have been canceled from what I have heard. Thankfully, the HRR is in mid June.
