History Roll Call...El Mirage...May 15-16, who's going?

So I just talked the wiffy into heading up on Friday & staying for the weekend. So I will need a reservation for 2 at the HAMB Spa & Resort! Now who's in for a So-Cal caravan. LIST: Vivalahotrod + 1

 

Hi, As I am from Adelanto the dry lake is real close for me. I may get a weekend pass and do the whole weekend.

 

I would like to run both days, except I have to work the course on Sat.

 

That is cool! What kind of speed are you shooting for?

 

The class record is 98.5 set in 1997? Its not that easy of a target but at this point I'm doin it for fun( thats how everyone starts). My goal for my first outing, I'll be happy if she runs 70 and stays together!

 

Is that a fuel or gas class record? The AMA/BUB 100cc fuel class record we'll be going for at Bonneville is 91 mph.

 

I'll be there all weekend crewing. I also have Patrol Duty Sunday morning. Wayno

 

I'm not sure the class they put me in for Elmo is A/G 100cc, Im runnin gas? I've been a spectator for many years, this is my first experience! I've got alot to learn

A-G 100 is modified frame, gasoline, 100cc. Our class is A-A 100, modified frame, fuel, 100cc.

Yes. In the pits there is a 5 mph speed limit. And 25 along the spectator viewing area. Please respect it. There are guys working on cars and motorcycles and their minds might not be on you (or others) so keep an eye open as you cruise the pits.

 

I'll be there orientating the rookies. I've got my eye for you newbies...

yeah thats the beauty of Elmo, plenty of riding area (away from the race coarse) I've been going for many years, i turn my kids loose on their dirt bikes and i go hang out in the pits, life dont get much better than that!!!! If you saw my detailed map (previous post) there is PLENTY of space for ya. SEE YOU THERE!

 

Hey Dean I just put 2 and 2 together, your bike is the "2 kids on the dirt" bike? I saw the bike at the GNRS and it was the inspiration for me going racing! That bike is ssssssssssssoooooooooooooooo bitchin!!!

 

I plan to be out there helping the Bean Bandits in the pits. I'll most likely be driving my red '57 Chevy Sedan Delivery.

 

Just about make it to almost every event, I will be there.

Check my map for hamberville. I plan on getting there @ 12-1 on fri ill be in a motorhome with a brite red flatbed trailer. When you get there there will be alot of people but usually im the only one accross the access road, should be easy to find!
