Thanks! like I said, it was like a science fair project. I might just be a natural at this paint thing. I've been painting all sorts of stuff. All coming out pretty nice! Here's a sandwich board or sidewalk sign I'm making that silver leafed myself, made the frame and panels, metal flaked the frame, and painted the face with candy and pearls. I need someone to do the lettering for my biz....

Nice work, gives me an idea....!

  8. Hard to tell without seeing it up close and personnel, but it looks like you nailed it! The isometric pattern is a nice touch. Seems like everyone is being pushed to do something a little bit different, than the last guy. And that is a GOOD thing! Color choice is zoomy as well.

Sandwich board is sweet, as well.:D

p.s. do you feel the Chrysler had a superior build quality, to a Cadillac???

Thanks a lot! As for build quality, I can't tell you much. I don't know tons about the mechanicals of the car because all I did was paint it, so I haven't been under it yet. I know the 4 link needs to be redone, and the owner knows that its my specialty to fab up just about anything, and I'll be his best bet, so it will be apart on my lift soon. It does have a hemi though. Now as for cadi's.... I love me some early/ mid 50's cadis. I'm not so much for the 60's cadi's anymore. Now the 62 Chrysler Imperial had a cool dash! I'll give it that! But I'm much more partial to my Chevys and my 53 Lincoln! That roof is next! I have to paint car first. I'm in final stages of block sanding. Ready to spray within a few days at most....

    Hey,

What brand of clear did you use to cover that sized flake, and did you like the way it covered? Did you use an inter-clear under your final clear?

From the photos it looks killer!

Thanks guys. I was pretty amazed with the results myself. I used some dupont stuff. Don't have all the details, but I could work with any clear. I think patience is the key, and many many coats! lol

  23. Looks killer!

That lincoln is flat awesome. That black just looks so damn good on it. It'll be a killer car as well. Try and post pics of the Linc when its done!
