Sucks to have shit like this happen, I hate bastards that do this shit.
According to google earth Hampshire TX is just east Houston but it's about 250 miles due south of Argo, probably a bit more than 40 min drive but any lead is worth looking into. Try phoning the local Auto repair shops as they sometimes know more than the local cops.
    Scotty.

I'd still follow up with the local police there, maybe try and find a HAMBer close to look as well...

Just a guess, but it was noted the column was busted (GM?) and some pieces were on the ground. Easy to push vent glass or break it to reach in. Stu

Post a good picture at your local airport pilots lounge. Local pilots see alot of country and enjoy the hunt.

True, I don't have vent windows on my truck so I forgot that detail. and I forgot that there were pieces of the column on the ground where the truck had been.

I'm thinking that it is still stashed within 50 miles of Austin though. Probably hidden in a shed because it is too hot to do anything with.

I've posted the info on two Chevy truck boards and it has been posted on Hotrod Hotline which thousands of guys subscribe to and see every week. Plus this thread which is hard to miss.

  12. I'd really make a big deal about the reward, that might flush it out.

The local pilot idea is a good idea, I hadn't thought of that.

As a matter of fact you might take a look in the airport parking lot. When my son had his OT stolen, that was where they found it. The police told him that is a common place to dump them but they don't have the manpower to look in the parking lots.

I live in Mt.Pleasant , I will keep an eye out. Argo is a small community East of here ,old store and a couple of churches, don't remember a water tower there . It is along ways from here to Austin! I would think from Austin it went towards the border pretty fast.

The reward says 1500 - I thought it was more than that - clarify the reward for me so I have it right on the SRM post please

I would stick with the 1500 reward for now.
