Steels or wires on my 32 pick up?

Keep em both Gav, changes the look , both look great .I saw the Audi Ad too looks good racing around that big hall .I'm glad your having fun with the old girl .

 

I had a set of steelies all prepped for the '32 roadster then came across a set of 35 wires on ebay that had been professionally changed to 15" with 2 of them widened. I had to pay more than I wanted for the widened pair (they were in 2 seperate auctions) but ended up getting them. I've got tires picked out from Coker so IF the car ever gets done I'll have 2 sets to change off for a different look.
For your ride I say WIRES ALL THE WAY.

wires look great... if you use solids paint them black!

I like steels but those wires make the truck.

 

I like steelies but thous wire are KILLER. The steelies may need to be painted black.

I am going through the same delima on my 31. I think I prefer the wires on your truck. maybe if you paint the steelies black?

Is it just me or does anybody else think the wires would look a little better with ribbed trim rings?

Oh, and here's a blasphemous thought. Put a set of radials on the steelies and drive on them to and from distant events, then swap to the wires with bias plys in the motel parking lot. Hey, you got a pickup bed, right? Plenty of room to carry some extra wheels and tires on the trip. Leave the steelies in the motel room when you actually drive to the event for the day.

Or maybe not. Hey, it's just a thought.

 

With a flathead and no hood, you need the WIRES. I have a 32PU with a smallblock, even though I run a hood I run steelies cause of the SB.--TV

I think the wires look GREAT. Keep'm both we all need more then one pair of shoes.
