Well guys im gonna be down off the comp for a while. Been running a fever 104.7 for 2 days now, and cold showers dont really help much. Gonna go hit the couch hard for a couple more days.

At 104 don't take chances. Ya might want to have a doc look at ya. Cold rag on the fore head helps me sleep.

  3. get well...we'll hold it down untill you get back...

  4. Yeah don't run that fever too long before you see someone about it. Drink lots of water too.

Hope things come around for you.

My old Doc. said, "It's like flies and garbage. You can get rid of the flies, but if you don't get rid of the garbage the flies will come back!"

I had a fever of 104 for about a day a couple of years ago, it felt like my head was going to crack in half. Go see a Doctor now, I wish I would have, probably would have saved alot of agony.

  16. No shit youre going to be off the computer...maybe forever..get your ass to the hospital..Don't worry about insurance..the ER has to take you no matter what.

You have not posted again, so I hope you aren't dead or brain damaged yet..

    Get well.

Should somebody check on Marty to see if he's alive???
Maybe he's like me and lives alone? I'm thinking maybe he started this thread for the same reason cops touch the back of a tail light lens when they pull someone over...
He's got a phone # in a thread of a car he's got up for sale.

Good idea, Captain. This has been bugging me too. It'd be real screwed up, if somethin' bad happened to Marty, and we'd be all sayin' we coulda done something. Do it Captain...give him a call. Then post back, and let us know. BTW...I've got a new-found respect for you knowing you give a shit. Good man.

P.S. - Interesting note about the cop touching the tail-light. Never heard that before. For finger-prints, right?...evidence?

  20. I hope he's okay. I think he still lives with his parent's but is moving in with his brother soon....he should be in good hands.

Wholly shit! 104.7!! Time to get to the ER!
I've been told cops touch the back of a car they pull over so if they run there is evidence that car was pulled over by the cop by his prints on it.

OK guys...called him. He sounds fine, and appreciates the concern. Said he's been taking Tylenol to bring the fever down, but after a few hours, it goes back up some. Told him quite a few guys were gettin' concerned...especially considering we hadn't heard back from him! I strongly suggested that he go get checked out. He said he's gonna go tomorrow if he's not doing any better. We kinda laughed about Captain Freedom's question of "Should somebody check to see if Marty's alive?", but also agreed about the potential seriousness of it. - Rick

I'm not so sure about waiting till tomorrow since he's had it already for a couple of days. Something is seriously not right I'd get him checked tonight. Better safe than sorry.
