I like that steering box installation. Very innovative, and shows you can go traditional on a boxed frame.

    Very cool project!

34corner WAS an english company. Rodline today.

I think you have an F1 steering box and no F100.....

You can use a 40 ford (other years are the same also) pitman arm and ditch the ball end of the f-1's, just a sugestions.

Cool project, ive always wanted to make a glass car look "correct"

    Man, that thing sits nice-

That is going to be one fine 34.

I guess the "Boyd would be proud" guy isn't impressed?

Some people just don't know what a Hot Rod looks like.

    And some are just Knobs.

    Keep up the great work!

so I converted my model A to open drive a few months ago....
I had bought a open drive trans from a hamber and used it in the A
so I thought I would convert the old 39' trans out of the model A to open drive for the 34' project.
I found a tail piece and main shaft to change it to open drive and worked on it today... but after putting it back together the pilot shaft had a ton of play in it! I'm like WTF! so I can't find the problem untill I took it apart for the 3rd time and see the case has a huge crack in it where the main bearing goes..
so the only spare case I have is my mock up case with the big hole in the side of it! so I Mig welded it up and did the JB weld insurance for leaks and will put it back together tomorrow.

It's 3 am here and i can't sleep. You need to drag your ass out of bed and do an update. You can sleep after the car is finished.
Just kidding, but seriously I can't wait for the next installment. This should be written up in one of the mags as how to turn a STREET ROD into a HOT ROD.

  29. Great turn around!

One thought though, that rear coilover x member looks pretty feeble for the transverse spring, considering the weight is supported in the middle - the easiest part to bend. ?

Lookin' good, but I have to echo X38s comment on the spring X member.
