Damn it... another evening "wasted" on the hamb.....

Got off work early today. Had plans to do some things out in the garage. (same as yesterday.....) then thought.. Hmmm wonder is any made a post on my thread i started?????.... .... 4 or so hours later I haven't got shit done.

I did learn some things... been spending a lot of time going through the Tech section "tech week" threads... MAN there is a lot. so over the last two day I bet I have logged over 8-10 hours poking around on the hamb not geting anything productive done....


however I do think I have figure out what I was doing wrong with my Tuck Shrinking technique....


anyone else in the same boat?

 

Yeah, as my wife says..."if you didn't spend so much time on the computer (i.e. HAMB) you could get more done on the ride.

Also tend to stay up too late on here. I can't believe how fast the time passes...one minute, it's say, 9:30PM...before I know it, it's 1:45AM! My wife usually goes to bed before I do, and I spend some time here. One night for a joke, she took the mouse to bed with her. We had a good laugh over that one..."Give me my mouse!" LOL. She thought it was hilarious.

 

same here ..im logged into the h.a.m.b even on my cell phone ..im addicted i tell ya

 

The HAMB has replaced working on my cars. I'd rather watch others build theirs. The history threads are the best IMO.

 

i wish there was a h.a.m.b telivision channel ..were we can view a live series of tradditional builds by some of our own greats ...

The HAMB has helped me get my car where it is,Im new to the older cars(can tell you enything about89-04 mustangs,but it was time for a change).I got my 48 stylemaster and was like ok where do i go from here,Im on here till 3:30am sometimes my time on is about equal to the time work`n on my car,I also have been know to work on my car from 11am-3am then got back up the next day at 730am and worked till 8 pm.Im a litle obsesive compalsive lol

 

the first step to recovery is to admit it... my name is jim and i'm addicted. there i said it..... still don't want any recovery though.. lol

I have the "old school" MSN TV 2 hooked up to the tv so that way I can jump back an' forth from the pc to tv with a flick of a button. Piece of cake! By the way..... The car pics look great on the big screen!!

 

I've done it many times. Curse you computer!

 

I checked my subscribed threads the other day, I had saved 266 that I wanted to come back to later...I didnt make it through all of em yet, its excellent reading.

I would invest in the production of a H.A.M.B. series of "approved build" videos, some history lessons, heck even a Home Tech Hot Rod Show of some sort (live tech week?). There is a LOT of energy here and we could support ourselves. If Ryan starts asking for investors on that you'd hear screeching tyres and a door knock before the sentence was even finished.

 

Love the tech stuff myself, im the same way dudde i come home and think that i will just go on the hamb for a few minutes just to check shit out and then five hours later im still on here, goddamn hamb!

 

I had last week off work to get the new kitchen finished, well it's still not done and the '46 is still not done either, damn this couch.

No doubt its an addiction. I too haven't barely watched t.v. since joining. I am amazed at how many awesome threads there are that I miss thru the week! I can't get enough. One of my favorites is F.A.S, seeing all the other artists that do amazing things. I just wish I had enough $ to buy some of the cars for sale! Lots of great people on here.
