name that axle?

    found this in the weeds at my father-n-laws so i took it home. anybody have an idea what its from? its only 41" center to center on the king pins. it was under a homemade boat trailer.

    The wheels look like '40's or early 50's-vintage English Ford
    Anglia or Prefect.Ditto for the cross-leaf front spring and the
    approximate 41 inch width.

    unless you have a really light car, it's not useful for much, even the Anglia guys don't like em. Some dragsters do still use the spindles though.

    Cable-operated brakes says 37-38 to me. That's a pretty darn early Anglia/Prefect front end.
