Hey guys heres my question: Im wanted to run oem style chrome rims on my 52' F1 with bias plys, what size tire should i go with? I plan on lowering the truck with a 3" drop axle and probably remove a few springs up front to lower it around 5 or so inches and around the same in the rear. I was also thinking maybe a little bit taller tire in the rear. Thanks for all your help guys.

If by OEM style you mean steel wheels that are a bit narrow like the originals, probably on front a 6.70-15 would be appropriate.....rear, if you want a bit taller, 7.10-15.....both these sixes were OEM sizes on lighter cars (Ford,Chev,Ply, Merc) of the period.

depending on wheel diameter..... atleast a 8.20 / 15 rear or 7.50 / 16 rear....fronts , depending on how low.... 5.60/15 or 5.00/16 ride height would probably make the dictate the tire to me. and you gotta have some hot rod rake..:D

Go to Coker Tire and input your vehicle and they will list the original equipment size.

From there you can picture a little larger or smaller.

Yo Bro, This is what I've got, a 3" Drop Axle and 3" blocks in the rear. Got it all from Sids @www.droppedaxles.com I removed 3 leafs from each corner. She's sittin on 640-15 with 2 1/8" w/w, firestone bias ply tires. Good luck!
