This is what R&C wrote about the tires. I have to ask John about hem.

    "Wheels & Tires
A quartet of 16x5.5-inch Vintique '40 Ford-style steels wrapped in Coker Classic rubber stop this tail-dragger from literally living up to its name."

A better look before the front fenders where mounted.

THE FRENZ...O brother this is what customs should be, man o man o what beautiful customs. did anyone notice the bronz 57 olds. behind the green merc. you folk's in europe can see the way we do it. in my eyes a custom has to be appeling. at 1 time all americans had OUTHOUSES, and there was a good reason they were kept in the back yard! granted many euro's have very fine customs...POP.

This thread is amazing. I know that I'm just a FNG, but I really dig the HAMB's very own Ian Berky's 51 Chevy. That car is just gorgious. I know Rikster has some photos, maybe you could help me out. I haven't had time to figure out how to do post pics just yet.

Ok, I think I got it. I stole these picsof his 51 from Ian Berky's album, I really hope he doesn't mind. This car is just a sweet ride!

Please, don't get me wrong. That car is a piece of art, and the tires are the best-looking radials around. I just think it could improve a little bit with a wider white wall.

I will shut up now... ;)

I saw that '36 up close in a parking garage in Austin at last year's Roundup. It had been driven in the rain and it was a mess. Awesome. I wouldn't change a thing. It was so stunning in as-used condition in that garage, left a big impression on me.

Ryno, I saw this Caddy at the Lonestar Roundup this past weekend. That thing is sick brother!!! My wife saw it and now she wants me to start on my 62 Caddy so she can drive it! It was her favorite car of the show.

Here is one I'm just finishing up.
It's on the mild side and heavily influenced by the Vaughn car
