I'm not sure what I enjoy more... the kick-ass car being built or your way of describing it to us. :D

  17. hellonwheels ... great build thread! ... glad I finally opened it ... every time it came back to page one, I had (terrible) visions of some guy building a '36 3wd wheelstander with tank tracks :

Wow!! After watching this thread, I do believe there will be more people owning '36 three windows than the Ford motor company ever produced.

Really nice work, brings back memories (or nightmares it depends). I love detailed build up posts. Keep it up.
I have a friend here in Normandy who's gonna make a 3w 36 out of a French 36 Ford sedan. It seems there's gonna be more 3W now than at the time...

Thanks for the responses! Made a little more progress, nothing too exciting.

After filling the spare tire mount holes:

Been doing hammer and dolly on the coupe back:

I won't show any more of the boring stuff, but it's much better. I'll start with the shrinking disk and more hammer and dolly this weekend.

This week I worked on the driver wheelwell, it needed rust repair and I also wanted to fill the gas filler neck hole, two birds with one stone. No one will ever see it, but I'm a nutjob and I spent entirely too much time on it. :)

I wanted a factory look, no streetroddy-looking flat surfaces! Like the passenger side with the wide bead:

So I took the bead from the sedan and flipped it over:

Made a template so the body mount hole would be in the correct location, shortened the bead with a flat angle on one end, and started piecing it together:

Still need to final weld and grind this area and finish bodywork this weekend.
