    Neat!
Hasn't Lattin done a replica of it?

That was a great article, and history lesson. Thanks for sharing it! Wonder where you can find a flathead injection system like the one in the pics?

Those injection units used to hang on the peg board at Western Auto. Someone must have one stashed, - - - -

  8. would be cool if "next month's surprise" was finally bringing the streamliner out of hiding. The original, and the copy, are at the top of my list of favorites.

Such a cool car and reading about it's origins as well as Stu's is incredible. From tinkering in the garage to providing Ferrari and injection unit for the Indy 500.

Great story, great pics. When I first read that his first injection set up was in 1947, I didn't believe it could have been that early. Then I realized that they're no discouting for creativeness.-dd

Great read. I don't know what's in store for next month, but my head may explode in anticipation if I let the scenarios get the best of me.

...and a good guy to boot...took a Hilborn unit for an Ardun to Fuel Injection Engineeringt to get it refitted...it was number 0025, and after it went back into the shop Stu himself came out to see what old geezer had brought it in...turned out it was a 19-year old dumb kid (me), so he stopped work and gave me lots of advice on how to set it up...worked too.....

Nice story. When Eddie Miller's son Jim(AHRF) help Jim Lattin with the recreation car he used the very same tools and methods his dad did to fabricate the intake.

BTW: the correct name is Jim Travers, not Travis, as in Travers and Coons.

Another great entry Mr. Kellogg. I really enjoy your stories and photos.

I was speaking to Chuck Hersom of the Hersom Bros. some time back and he recalled how secretive Stu was with is injection system when he was out at the lakes.

    Good stuff, thanks!
