long bed ? 6-8 hundred , shortbed ? 1500 or so , but then again im a cheapskate . i'd pay 100 extra either way if they threw in a 62-66 hood , but ive never liked those 60-61 hoods , lol

It looks to be a 3/4 ton ,8 hole wheels? In 61 orignal engine was a 283. In good driving condition other than what you have said $1200-1500.

You west coast fuckers are spoiled!!!!!!! In the northwest indiana area near chicago were the winter salt eats up metal. I would say $2500 on a good day!!!!!

  6. I'm working on my 2nd 61 Apache, paid 2500 for the first and 6200 for the second, price reflected condition. From your brief description and the photos(looks like a longbed), I'd say 500 to 1000 max. Everyone has an opinion on the hoods, I personally think its what sets the truck apart from the other years. The people that are into those years want that hood, especially since so many got changed over to the later ones. The 327 didn't come along til 1962, so in this case the parts may be worth more than the whole. It looks like more of a rod candidate than a restoration project. There are a lot of those trucks in NorCal and Oregon, and like all old vehicles, paying a little more for a better starting point will usually put you time and $$ ahead in the long run. Not saying don't, just that for any more than a grand, you can probably do better. Here's pics of my first one, long fleet bought in Portland in 2007 for 2500, spent another 1300 on parts and paint and about 400 hours labour, drove for a year and a half and sold for 8000. It already had new upholstery, gas tank, carpet. The other is my current short step, bought in May last year in Fremont, paid 6200 and its getting fresh paint, needs nothing else. Even the paint that was on it would come up nice with a heavy cut polish.

I'd buy it for $1,000 if it starts, runs, drives, and stops. Take cash and offer $800. Then meet in the middle for $900. How could you go wrong with a runner for less than a grand?

    ***EDITED TO ADD***
The C20 badge means its a 3/4 ton. And that back wheel well looks funky. Check for rust around the top of the windshield, door bottoms, front fender bottoms, front lower edge and rear lower edge of the hood, and both floorboards near the front. These are all common areas to find serious holes.

I agree, offer $500 if you get it for less than a 1000 you are doing ok, not great, just ok:D
I have bought 10 or so trucks in that similar condition, and have not paid more than $500 for any of them.
