Cruising returns to Van Nuys Blvd

you know i remember it a bit i might have been anywhere from 5-10 lol im 24 my dad and i usto walk from victory to Blythe street. A donut shop was around back when the GM plant was still up. I think i remember a huge ass van was it blue ?

anyway im in for The Plant and cruising from Blythe to victory and back thats a sweet cruise ... lots of lights,plenty of parking , more places to get some chow, everyone can still stop by the old spots to eat ... and the best thing ? if its still on a Weds it wont be nearly as crowded as it is on the weekends...

it'd be cool if it we could do it the way Cars, Coffe, & Bagels is done ...

 

I think that the plant is too far away from what was the cruise area, and Bagels? Are you serious? I don't even think that the cruise (what's left of it) will last much longer anyway. So don't sweat it, park on the street. Somewhere.

 

The street it is, I got no problem with that.

It's like this people, ya park on the street. Hang for a bit. Then you cruise a little. You see a friend parked somewhere, you go park there or close by and go hang for abit. Then you go cruise a little, see a friend, and so on.........

i noticed big turn outs at cruise spots last night as the weather was a little warmer. if it continues i expect large crowds in april at van nuys

remember those cruise nites....met my wife (of almost 50 yrs) cruising down van nuys blvd from Bobs van nuys going back to bobs san fernando on a saturday nite

 

Looking forward to this one, I finally got the roadster all back together for the next cruise...

 

Yes, we'll have some better weather this time around so the turnout should be bigger.

 

April 14th, if I don't get called in, I'll be there. F'n doctors have no consideration for my cruising schedule, I need to work on that.

 

Does anyone know what is up with VNC & Reid ??? Is he bailing out from pressure as rumors had it ??? This was his dream and it came to be because of him.. I keep checking

no updates. Would be very sad if he was pressured out. The only good thing Reid won’t have to work it and can enjoy cruising, seeing his creation come to life

 

The very people that welcomed us a very short time ago, are now finding themselves inconvenienced by us. Big surprise. But, that's how it goes. So, the grief is falling on the shoulders of Reid and his wife, who worked so hard to make this thing a reality. So, I can only assume, and I suggested they do....to just bow out and let this thing go. Why should they suffer any aggravation over this, after working so hard to make it a reality? If the store owners, and whoever else, want to think we're such a burden, they will win, as they did 28 years ago. Fuck em, and why fight it? This is only my observation on this
