I think it looks pretty cool man. If you don't mind me saying, I think the windshield posts would look a bit better painted to match the roof... and is that side trim for real or is it photo shopped? It seems like there's something about it not looking quite right. Almost like that front swoop is in the wrong place or something.

Anyway... just a few thoughts from a fool.

I can manipulate the spear. It is photo chopped.. The Pontiac spear is alittle different. Also remember my Merc is a four door. So this is just the idea for the paint colors and theme..

I didnt put paint on the A Pillars because the style back in the 50's was to keep i the same as the hood. As far as the pictures I've looked at.

    Check out Jay Johnston's Shoebox..

But spray the roof white with some tan(?) pearl instead of just the tan.

I think that car would look better in one solid maroon color. Two tones only look good on some cars. For example: '42-'48 Fleetlines, '56 Chebys, '59-'60 Impailers; but, not that car. The body lines lend themselves to a solid color scheme better.

    Just my humble opinion.

I like # 1, but on all three the stainless trim/paint break lines are fighting with the natural body lines. Can you do something that uses the factory body lines?

Yea, that sounds like a pretty cool idea. But, scallops are usually reserved for hot rods and not necessarily used on customs. That said however, I sure would like to see it fotoshoped just to see how it looks. Who knows, might look bad ass?:)

I like #3, but I think it would look better if the "A" pillar was tan in lieu of maroon.

Did you guys know that a HAMB member designed and sold that program to House of Kolor? Most of the time he is in their booth demonstrating the program. His names Carter. Stop and say hi next time you see their booth at an event.

I like and voted for #3

With the red and tan #3 is the way to go. #1 looks to much like the Oscar Mayer Wienerwagon. And i'm thinkin #2 might just be bass aackward.

If those are the choices im torn between 1 and 3, but I agree with badshifter, the stainless just doesnt look right with the lines. JMHO

  24. like 3 the best, with a few alterations...

Move the kick on the spear back toward the rear of the car to line up with the bump in the body line, then paint above, paint the a-pillar to match the top (color parting line at the bottom of the a-pillar).

I'm not much of an artist, and this program is awesme, but doesnt really have a scallop template so this is the best I could do.. Any thoughts?
