since its been cold here I don't feel like working on my cars right now so I stay inside in the evenings now well for christmas I got a new video game grand theft auto san andreas and I can't stop playing it. The last time I was interested in a video game this much was when the nintendo came out back before I was old enough to drive. I'm never going to get my cars going if I don't get off my ass from playing video games, and checking the internet. Has anyone else played this game? Or am I the only one who does this in the winter months.

I hear what you're saying, everytime it gets below 60 degrees in Florida I just don't feel like feeding the ducks. I play a video game called Pong, it's totally addictive. If you get the the ball thing going just right it will bounce between the ends for all eternity. I can watch that for hours. I'm totally mesmerized.

I don't know what that Grand Theft Auto game is though, will it fit in an Atari?

Dont worry you'll get sick of it... Trust me it gets old in a hurry once you play it long enough.

    I stick to racing games...

    Yada yada yada.

My Achilles heel is "Age of Mythology". I'll start playing, and next thing I know, it's three in the morning...good thing I'm single.
And, yes, I started with Pong.

san andreas does get boring......buuut there are a few cool hot rods and lowriders in the game, and you can modify cars too.

there's a neat roadster probably based on a 32, except its fucking covered with hideous tribal graphics that you cant get rid of......

If they come out with Petty Theft Bicycle I'll play it. My reactions are too slow to deal with anything that goes over 15 mph, and the most violent thing I can handle without puking is when they boil a lobster of your choosing at Ving's Seafood.

Wow, I'm surprised there wasn't a huge media shitstorm like there was over the first 2. They must have kept the release pretty lo-pro.

I guess I need to stop by Best Buy on the way home.

Video games can get pretty addictive. Luckily I get addicted for about a week and then move on to something more constructive. I'm more of a first person shooter fan too. Especially the sniper oriented games. Nothin' like reaching out and touching someone from a great distance. LOL

But I would like to get the new GTA just to see if I enjoyed it.

  19. I have been trapped in my home since Christmas eve because I can't stop fondling myself. My question is this, do I have an addiction, a compulsion or an obsession?

  20. Benzine.........what you have is a need...a need for a good porn video.
Cosmo, you were lucky in your childhood. Rocks hadn't been invented yet when I was a kee-yid. I hadda play with hot lava chunks. They all looked the same...very boring.
I know better to start with video games. The HAMB is addictive enough for me.....

playing GTA:SA too, just don't ask me about flying.

the '32 you get by getting gold in all tests at the driving school. the early coupe is outside denises' (no, not that one!) house in Los Santos, you'll find it locked initially but if you use a tractor or tow truck to tow it to your safe house garage, put it inside, save game and go back to it you'll find its open...

You can find the coupes driving around on the strip.
I'm adicted to this game aswell. I've finished all the misions, I have all 50 oysters, and i'm working on the tags. My aim is 100% by 2007.

Its pretty cool I found a mission where you actually have to fly a jet back to liberty city which is where gta III was. There are some pretty cool cars on the game and some fast ones. I think I'm a little over halfway through the missions but I haven't done that many of the side missions like the taxicab stuff. Although I did find out that if you want to beat the vigilante missions easier get the code that spawns a tank and use it. Its slow but all you have to do is get into the vicinity of the bad guys cars then blow em up with the tanks gun. Where is that car that looked like a 57 chevy w/ a tube grill that you posted a pic of I don't remember seeing it in the game but sometimes I don't pay that much attention if I'm chasing someone or trying kill someone. There is a cool looking truck on the game that looks like a 67-68 GMC thats chopped and shortened with some wheels. After seeing it I actually got an Idea about building a real version thats similar. Oh yea a tip on flying find the slo mode code it gives you more time to react when your flying something. that was the only way I could get used to flying.

I also have the game need for speed but I lose interest in it after a while. I'm a video game junky to besides a car junky. I have both playstations 1 and 2, nintendo 64, super nintendo, regular nintendo, sega genesis, intelivison, centipede arcade machine which is heavy as hell when I try to move it and its loud as hell to when I leave it plugged in. I actually ought to sell the machine because I don't play it anymore that fiber wood stuff is fraying open around the edges and it messes up sometimes if I don't play it for real long periods of time. I have as many video game setups and stuff as I do cars, car parts, and projects.

When do they come out with the game where I get to be a rich spoiled white kid that spends his days doing coke and blonde chicks at the country club? [IMG]

  28. As an official,"old fart",I haven't played any video games and would probably suck at it even if I did.I used to love to trap shoot and occasionally do the big bore range at the gun club I used to belong to,but haven't done that for a long time. There is nothing like firing a hundred-plus year old Winchester chambered for .45-70 a few times to get your blood flowing and your shoulder aching.I even got to fire a Phelps single action pistol(patterned after a SAA Colt but chambered for .45-70 holding five rounds and weighing about 8 lbs.loaded).Talk about your hand cannons;this would put ANY .44 Mag to shame for sheer balls! The one I fired had the(normal)12 inch barrel cut to 8 1/2" so it could be carried more easily.
Anyhow that was my addiction for a long time.I haven't done any serious shooting in awhile.

I just find the whole idea of 'fantasy' killing to be insensitive and in poor taste.
I dread to think how the relatives of those that have died in gang-related shootings - whether involved or as innocent by-standers - feel about their personal tragedies being turned into entertainment and so-called 'games'. [IMG]
I'm not having a go at you guys that play them, I just question the moral validity of them.

Insensitivity and senseless violence! Welcome to the USA!

You think this is bad? This year on the anniversary of JFK's death, a video game was released that was basically a recreation of the assassination, where you sit up in the book depository and try to blow JFK's head off. Nice huh?

    Nothing is sacred.
