A little build Ive been working on.......... Its going to be a t bucket style roadster built from different model t/a parts. It will run a 302 with dual quads on a fabbed sheetmetal intake. 5spd tranny and 9" rear. It started off as the back half of a model t touring, then I added model a windshield post and built the cowl. these are pics from the beginning. Let me know what you think. It all started with this. Its the touring rear section picked up local from fellow HAMB'er, thanks Brent.
Some shots of the frame Front crossmember, tapered from 4" to 3". Rear crossmember with 15" Z Threw the body on the frame to get an ideas for layout and interior room Me in the bucket for first time. Still a little tall in the seat, its alot lower now.
Building the new cowl..... Still have some more supports to put in, but this is enough to get the sheetmetal started.. New body subrails....
Pic of Roy, one of the guys building the rod, fabbing the new top. Without his, Ricks, and Joes help this never would have started. Its being built in Roys shop, and its their experience thats the reason why its turning out so nice.
thks I have a couple of projects that are along the same lines is this so I'll keep watching for more pics.
Heres the link for some of the build pics, they're all out of order but I cant rearrange them as of yet. I have more on my phone, but I havent uploaded them yet. http://tinypic.com/a/1yjax/3
Its been a while but theres a little more progress to report Got the front wishbones fabbed up rear is done, just got to clean off the unused mounts on axle and weld up the rear suspension getting an idea for carb placement/height before fabbing intake More to come, Ill try to get some better pics tomorrow
Looks good,I would like to see how you're building your intake. I'm just finishing up a 6x2 for big chevy. It was a lot more work then I thought, but isn't everthing?
Thanks for the comments. I cant wait to get it rolling. Its nothing special at all. just modifying the one I have, adding runner length and making new plenum for carbs to rest on. Sounds more glamorous than it really is. Just using what I have on hand. Normal stuff. The motor is looking like the monkeys ass right now. Im going to polish and debur the block paint it red. Valve covers will have brushed aluminum treatment as well as intake. I plan to have the headers plated or get new ones
Will do. I think the carb height Ive planned is spot on when you look at it from the front. Im going to chop the windshield and lean it back but Im waiting to do that until I lead up the seams on the cowl.
Im trying to get things polished up so they look purdy. After shes on the ground Ill do a quick youtube on it.
Havent been working on it in a while, but shes a roller now. Teaser pic until I get some new ones. It sits alot lower in the front, the tires were installed backwards........
