This is the pile I started on the Christmas before last. After panels all the way around, she actually was a pretty good little body...(yea, you have seen this pic 100 times..)

Here she is today, all the bodywork is done, sheetmetal fitted, gaps lined up and ready to be blown apart.

462 inch PONTIAC. Should be good for high 12s with some traction.

Now she comes totally apart for block sanding primer, shiny black and buffin. Should be ready May or so..

    See ya, -Abone.

If anyone is ever going to give Jim Sibley competiton for turning a sows ear into a silk purse you get my vote. Once again ...............outstanding job. This one is going to be a looker when you get it finished. Glad to hear about the shiney black.

'40's are hard to block sand... there's hardly a straight panel on them!

I for one sure am glad shiny paint is making it back into style. If it was mine I would rather do most of the sanding with the parts on the car. It's so much easier than trying to sand a fender off the car and trying to keep it from moving around while you are sanding it. :p

Looks great, and your gaps look good too! 39's and 40's are known for hard to get the gaps right, especially on the hoods. Its either high in the back and low on the front or vica versa.

Will enjoy the pics of it in color. One of my favorites too BLACK:rolleyes:
